Project: Ship Engines Smart Digital Twin
Project Code: Τ2ΕΔΚ-02135

The scope of the project is the optimization of ship engine operation using IoT and ML technology, the development of a "smart" control system with digital twin, the validation of its reliability and efficiency, as well as the design of its commercial and economic exploitation. It is noted that this approach is also expected to yield a technological approach to the development of autonomous ship systems.

The aim of the project is to develop a 'smart' system that can be used on existing ships (by retrofitting IOT equipment, either using existing internal network infrastructure for data traffic or using wireless network technology), as well as on new ships on which the installation and design of the system will be carried out during the manufacturing of the ship.

The Project has been co‐financed by the European Regional Development Fund of the European Union and Greek national funds through the Operational Program Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, under the call "RESEARCH – CREATE – INNOVATE".
